May 24th, 2013 - Chandler opened set out to enter a busy three day weekend with the NeSmith Late Model Series in Mississippi on Friday evening with a $2,000-to-win program at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park (Hattiesburg, Mississippi). Thirty-four entries were in action in the event at the 1/4 mile oval, and the night started on a strong note as Petty registered the fastest time in hot laps by more than a tenth of a second, and a strong qualifying effort locked into the eighth starting spot for the 40 lap feature via time trials. Early in the feature he raced into the top five and was running in the fourth position on lap 12, when contact from behind forced him into an infield tire. The contact resulted in a heavily damaged front end, which forced Petty to not only retire from the feature but scratch from the balance of the weekend's events. He was credited with a nineteenth place finish.

May 18th, 2013 - Chandler Petty recorded his first NeSmith Chevrolet Crate Late Model win of the 2013 season in dominant fashion on Saturday night at West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri). Fourteen entries registered for battle, and heat race action found Petty winning by half a track over his competitors. For the feature the invert positioned him starting sixth. In the first corner of the feature he split the field and was running third by the time that he made it to the backstretch. A few laps later the caution flew, and on the ensuing restart he rocketed to the top spot, and never looked back on his way to leading the final seventeen laps to score the win over Robby Moore, Roger Witt, Bobby Skinner, and Chad Williams. The victory was his second overall of 2013!

May 11th, 2013 - Chandler enjoyed a big moment in his young career on Saturday night by racing into his first-ever World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model main event!

The team entered a $10,000-to-win race with the WoO tour at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) as several of the nation's best drivers converged on the 1/4 mile oval. With twenty-seven entries in the pits qualified seventeenth fastest in time trials to lock into the sixth starting spot for his heat race. With the top six finishers earning a starting spot in the main event Petty raced to a sixth place finish, which positioned him starting seventeenth on the main event grid. During the course of the feature he battled around mid-pack before crossing the finish line with a very respectable sixteenth place finish!

1May 4th, 2013 - After a week away from the track courtesy of Mother Nature Chandler traveled to Texas and Louisiana over the weekend for a pair of $2,000-to-win, COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model events.

On Friday night the action opened at the brand-new Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) as a talented field of thirty-eight Super Late Models filled the pit area. Chandler's night began on a great note, when he charged from the fourth starting spot to claim the heat race win, which locked him into the second starting spot for the finale alongside pole sitter, Robert Baker. Petty battled at the front of the pack for the duration of the event before settling into a third place finish behind race winner, Baker, and Ross Camponovo. The finish marked the best of his career with the tour.

Saturday evening found the team traveling to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) where another stellar field of forty-four entries filled the pit area for the event. A fourth to second run in his heat race locked him into the eleventh starting spot for the 35 lap feature. In the main event he would be a little out-powered by the bigger motors as he slipped to a sixteenth place finish.
