March 21st, 2015 - Chandler Petty was finally able to kick off his 2015 season on Saturday night with a trip to Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri).

The $5,000-to-win program, which was sanctioned by the MARS DIRTcar Series, drew a field of thirty Super Late Models to the 1/4-mile oval. A third place finish in his heat race locked Chandler into the sixth starting spot for the feature. Petty had worked his way forward and was running third when mechanical issues forced him to retire from the balance of the program. He was credited with a ninth place finish in the final rundown.
